- Found vehicle to have stains under hood of cooling being pushed out of the radiator cap due to over heating. The cooling system has a very sour smell. Perform a hydrocarbon test (block test), results are inconclusive. Test drive vehicle. Engine coolant temperature will fluctuate between 205 and 230 degrees. Advise customer that this vehicle has all of the symptoms of a bad cylinder head gasket. Advise customer to talk to dealership about returning the vehicle due to cylinder head gasket issues.
