After scanning the vehicle, no fault codes were found. Upon examining live data from the oxygen sensors, it was observed that their response was slow. It is advised to start by replacing the front two oxygen sensors. Following their replacement, the vehicle's monitors still failed to set. Next, the back two oxygen sensors were replaced. During a road test, the vehicle began to misfire and lost power. This indicated that with accurate air-fuel ratio data, a misfire was now being detected. All six spark plugs were then removed and replaced with new ones, and two used ignition coils were installed. The oxygen sensor adaptation was cleared, and the vehicle underwent another road test. All smog monitors are currently set.

Scanned vehicle – See attached scan report. All faults related back to the following faults in the ABS module C0503-12 Left front Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) circuit high – Circuit short to battery C0502-11 Left front Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) circuit low – Circuit short to ground Advise the customer of how integral the wheel speed sensor is to the performance of systems such as the AEB and ABS. Inspected wheel speed sensor on front left and found it to be chewed through by rodent damage. Advise removal and replacement of wheel speed sensor.

Identified leak coming from under front bumper. Removed front bumper cover and found that the washer fluid hose for the headlight washers was chewed through by rodents. Replaced washer hose and reassembled.

Found vehicle to have stains under hood of cooling being pushed out of the radiator cap due to over heating. The cooling system has a very sour smell. Perform a hydrocarbon test (block test), results are inconclusive. Test drive vehicle. Engine coolant temperature will fluctuate between 205 and 230 degrees. Advise customer that this vehicle has all of the symptoms of a bad cylinder head gasket. Advise customer to talk to dealership about returning the vehicle due to cylinder head gasket issues.
